Nov 2008: TheGreenBow unveils VPN Mobile 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 & 6.1 |

|
 |
Paris, France, Nov 6th, 2008 -- TheGreenBow unveils today the release of TheGreenBow VPN Mobile 2.0 for PocketPC and Smartphone supporting Windows Mobile 5.0 & 6 & 6.1. Enabling mobility and security over broadband wireless network allows remote workers to get access to their company network resources wherever and whenever it is necessary. From small to large, more entreprises are providing mobile software to their work force on both laptops and mobile devices.
We have listened to a wide range of experts, analysts and end-users to design the VPN Mobile 2.0 software release. Top features include the support of the latest Windows Mobile version 6.1 to take advantage of the improved internet browser, easier email and easier WiFi connection, and the introduction of a new Tunnel Persistence capability. Wireless networks are less stable and require features to maintain the persistence of VPN tunnels. In VPN Mobile 2.0, both failures of the remote gateway and the selected wireless network can be detected. Alternative wireless networks can then be selected automatically or under control of the user. This makes VPN software easier for Mobile users regardless of standards and technologies used by your wireless provider or the visited wireless network.
Equally important, X-auth authentication method has been ported to the VPN Mobile 2.0 which works well with One Time Password, 2-way Factor Tokens.
If you want to become a beta tester or localize the software to your own language, go to contribute and register.
